My simile poem

Simile Poem

 My papa

My Papa works as hard as a worker bee, he’s always working .

He keeps trying like a worker ant, he doesn’t give up.

He is good at fixing things, like a builder.

My Papa is so smart, he’s like a dolphin, he knows a lot of things.

My Papa always keeps his things tidy like a broom sweeping dirt.

He always eats like a hungry lion, he devours his food.

My Papa always keeps us safe, he’s like a protective guard.

My Papa keeps his boundaries like a policeman.

He gets us gifts like he’s santa.

My papa will always help me out, like my teacher.

And he will never stop making good choices, like a learning student.

The Top 3 Most Dangerous Dinosaurs

Do you ever wonder what the most dangerous Dinosaur was? Most people would say the Tyrannosaurus-rex because of its sharp teeth and its ferocious look, but it's only rated as the 15th. How about the top 3. Number 3 Pterodactylus Antiquus which means winged finger they very small parasaurs they lived during the late Jurassic period around 150 million years ago. Their fossils have been found in Germany, Europe and Africa. Number 2 Pteranodon Longiceps was first discovered in 1871 in canvas Utah they had a wingspan of 20 feet they lived about 85 million years ago they spent most of their time over the blue seas looking for fish and they barely touched the ground. They did not have any teeth but they had a mean attitude. Number 1 Dimorphodon Macronyx. They roamed around what is now called Europe. Their name means 2 formed tooth and is a species of Pterosaur. All specimens of this species can be found in the Jurassic coast of the UK. They had 2 distinctly different types teeth ones that were made to tear flesh and others that were made to grab tightly onto prey. They fed on fish and other aquatic animals as well as small land animals too. They might have been pack hunters and would work together to hunt larger prey that would feed them and their young.

Tree of life narrative writing

 The Tree of Life.

One day Kev was planting trees. He was lucky enough to find the tree of life. The tree was so special that it gave good luck to anyone who would plant trees near it.  The tree held the powers that make it a superstar. It was all for world peace and for keeping the world in perfect harmony. People would never try to steal it because of the harmony it brings to the world.

No one would dare to try to steal it, except for The A.T.C aka The *American tree cutters* They will do anything to cut that tree down, but little did they know they will be stopped for once and for all by the N.T.S the * National tree savers*

The A.T.C now has the tree in its sight and is ready to cut it down. They are ready to bring in a Colossal Digger. When they see the tree is tiny and that the N.T.S are already there protecting the tree. The A.T.C becomes furious and tries to whack the tree out of the ground. Their massive machine isn’t working because the wires have been cut by the leader of the N.T.S Adam Zelipe, a former recruit of the A.T.C who is now all for the good of peace and harmony. He knows the A.T.C are stopped once and for all.

Bio poem Toroa

Walt take information from a non fiction text to complete a bio poem

Toroa

Solitary, Docile, Explorer, Agile

Lover of hanging out with whanau clacking and clappering their bills like noisy neighbours.

Who feels threatened by pollution and other hazards that are destroying our manu.

Who needs rich currents of the Southern Ocean and the precious kaimoana they provide.

Who gave the Maori spear tips, nose flutes, toggles and feathers as valued resources.

Who fears they will die accidentally or unnecessarily from nets, hooks and unweighted lines.

Who would like all seabirds to be off the endangered list until they're as old as dinosaurs.

Who comes from the f-f-freezing Southern Ocean with rough waves clashing together like bombs

Te reo he aha tenei Mahi

WALT : we are learning to learn new words in Te Reo Maori.

REFLECTION : While I was doing my slide show I tried to find things to put in it to make it look awesome. It was very tricky because it was hard to find the image I wanted and the Emglish translation.

QUESTION : Is there anything I should change in my slide show?
